Funded by AusAID, the Maldives Pilot Volunteer Program’s goal is to improve the delivery of key public services in the Maldives by helping to build and strengthen capacity in the education sector. This will be achieved through the provision of highly skilled educational specialists in areas such as education for children with special needs and learning disabilities; curriculum development; teaching and learning methodologies; and technical and vocational training. The program will see up to 10 volunteers placed in the Maldives between January 2010 to April 2011.
