Australian Government Volunteer Program

AusAID is developing a new volunteer program expected to be ready for implementation from July 2010. The new program is being designed and implemented in collaboration with Core Partners—a small group of organisations with a demonstrated commitment to, and capacity in, international development volunteering. Following a public call for expressions of interest in 2009, AusAID selected Austraining International, who manage the VIDA Program, as a Core Partner (leading a consortium that also includes Australian Business Volunteers and Canadian partners CECI/WUSC), alongside Australian Volunteers International and the Australian Red Cross.
